An un-baised look at hifonics power.

All of these tests will not have opinion just facts. From my findings today I have discovered that the brz line will do over rated at 1 ohm of clean power under 14.4 volts. Here are the "variables". HEADUNIT VOLTAGE: 1.2 TONE: 60hz -5db AMPLIFIER VOLTAGE: 43.9 VOLTAGE AT AMPLIFIER: 13.55 Keep in mind the headunit and amplifier were set to their max using an oscilloscope to maintain a clean signal. At 1 ohm the amplifier is potentially putting out 1927 watts at 13.55 volts. This test was performed without a load on the amplifier because I don't have the subs that can handle that much power for testing purposes. In the next week or so I will be "fininshing" some work to my electrical and will be at a constant 14.5 or 15 volts. I have yet to decide. More tests to come. Oh BTW products used: Pioneer 4300ub, Hifonics BRZ1700.1D, Shuriken SKBT100, Quality Power 235 amp alternator (140 amp idle; test was performed at idle), all 2 gauge welding wire, Monster cable HT rcas, Craftsmen Voltage Meter and Welleman Oscilloscope. Feel free to post any questions. Hope this up to your standards LP.

And btw.....Rated power using a tone means nothing to me. rated power playing music is a whole different thing.CEA ratings are done this way and basically useless IMO.

It doesn't matter if it is or not. What does matter is that you make a statement like that trying to entice an argument.

I am not trying to entice an argument. If you don't have anything else beneficial to say then don't post please. :/ And I said Please.

K. How would you recommend testing an amplifier? You can't with music. So you are just left with tones.

not to butt in here but I like both of ya so I have too...

LP? i saw it as a homage bro... like he wanted your approval to his test methods...in all of our non forum talking he has never 1 time badmouthed you... just the opposite in fact..he has an enormous amount of respect for you ... as do i ( even tho I think you need to be less opinionated and try some new stuff for yourself ;) )

LOL, LP gets snappy sometimes. YO, why LP standards? I am the one who is going to bust out the calculator and verify mathematically whether or not you are correct.

So, you are drawing a starting current of around 150a, and that's pre-voltage drop. Perhaps a different cable is in order to withstand long-term use. Especially with that electrical system... I'd die for something like that right now.
Other than that...LP, you know Sintor means now harm.... He's not a wanna be basshead, hooked on glue sniffing, cow tipping no good for nothing retard with a limp and a dog named Bo.

His dog's named chi-chi!- LOL, JK- Sintor cool like that!

You sir are griefing and also not welcome here. Please leave lol. If you had read I said I don't currently have the subs to hook up and clamp the power. So yes it potentially puts out 1927 watts.
