Does anyone know how to do it without grounding it to the brake

wait is it just a circuit that activates the video when the wire is grounded to the frame? Can you just put a toggle switch in the dash?

It was just a brake wire on the harness that needs to be grounded.

did you try grounding it to its own ground like I said in the email? you may need to use a toggle but I never have yet.

The only downside to that would be if the said headunit automatically went to video when the brake cable was grounded. But I doubt that headunit would.

all KW decks so far that I have installed have always just needed the brake wire grounded... I assume it worked for him.
