 early 90's RF 500s amp

I came across this amp in a pawn shop, for $75. It has slightly rusty terminals, missing both end caps and missing the remote bass knob. It is rated 125w x 2ch @ 4ohm, 250w x 2ch @2ohm and 500w x 1 @ 4ohm bridged. I know this is a well built amp but is it really worth the $75 in the present condition(as long as it works)? if not what would be a good price?

i can see 75 if you really wanted it but in the condition that you posted i'd try for 50 if it's the one i had i'd do it. loved it and ran it at 1ohm stereo daily

Great amp, but efficiency on those is almost to much to bear. The typical user of one of those, more than likely put harsh strain on it. As mentioned above, 1ohm stereo... I wouldn't do it unless it was in very good condition.

I decided to pass, the guy didnt want to budge on price, saying only cause its a collector item, i told him it's not as collectible without the end caps, rusty terminals, no box, papers, or bass knob.

good choice... w/o everything and in mint it is worthless as a collectors amp...
