Picking the right amp for 12W3v3-2

I went to a JL dealer this weekend, with the intention of just upgrading my 10 inch P1 sub, but ended up getting a   JL 12W3v3-2.  The shop recommended putting in in a  JL  CP112  slot ported bass wedge, even  though JL does not offer that enclosure with a W3, only a Wov2.   The shop had experimented with this setup and was pleased with the results,  so I let them put the12W3v3-2  in the CP112 slot ported bass wedge, and it really sounded great in my car, so I purchased that setup.

I currently have the JL  JX250/1 amp,  it sounds good with this sub, but I would like to get a little stronger amp for this new w3, as I am thinking the jx250, is a little less than ideal for this sub.   I was considering getting the JX500/1 , but don't know if thats too much for the w3 or not.  What other quality amps should I consider for my new sub? This is a 2 ohm sub.  Jl rates it at 500w now, but I hear it used to be rated at 300watts.  Not sure what the Ideal amp would really be, but according to JL's chart, it looks like 350w is ideal.  I don't plan on pushing the sub to its limits very often, just want it to perform the best that it can.

Has anyone seen a 12w3v3-2 mounted in a JL Cp112 slot ported bass wedge before, and what are your opinions of that setup. I do like that it does not take up a lot of space, but don't know if its and ideal setup. Any opinions on Cadence amps for this sub?

The 500/1 is a good mate.  Properly set up it will not be putting out the full 500, and will actually have power on reserve for when the music peaks/ a hot cd goes in, and actually play clean under those circumstances.  The actual amount of time an amplifier puts out its full wattage is so brief and rare. Seriously, Guys burp test tones and are lucky to see the numbers the amp claims!
