high output alternator

whats everyone, haven't been on here in a while but have no update of my new system but have shopping for a new high output alternator, my old alternator has a rating of 110amp, so my ? is how many amps my new alternator needs to be if i plan on running a system close to 4000w and do i need any extra batteries.

4000 watts RMS, or 4000 watts peak? If its 4000 RMS then you'll need about 400 amps of alternator

Anytime, I would recommend running two 220 amp alternators with two batteries

you could get away with a 350 powerbastereds alt and four good batt like the deka9a34 or odessey 2150 or kinentic's remember you arent going to be blasting it for hour's at a time ity will be alot easier and cost efficive to run just one alt ans more batt alothough you will be into about 500 to 600 for alt and 1000 to 1400 for batt plus wire. it take alot to run a true 4000 rms with out burning thing up.

ALL YA! I WOULD GET AT LEAST TWO DEEP CYCLE BATTERIES, AND GET A 200 AMP ALTERNATOR SHOULD BE GOOD. BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO UPGRADE YOUR WIRING GOING TO THE ALTERNATER AS WELL.
