Im looking into buy 3 kicker Comp 10 4ohm i was wanting to know what these subs will be better in a ported or Sealed box. and if you have the dimensions.. It works ok either way, but going sealed will limit the low end quite a bit. On the other hand, to get the most out of a ported box will require a lot of space. Even their max ported suggestion of 1.75 is on the small side.

Dimensions can vary widely. Obviously a 12 x 12 x 12 box (internal) would give you a cubic foot, but you could also go 12 x 18 x 8 and get the same volume.

A ported box at 1.75 would have to be something like 12 x 18 x 12, and a 3" dia x 6" long port would be tuned to 36hz or so.

Those box sizes would be PER sub.
