Question on Sub wiring with a box

So i will be receiving 2 Alpine DVC 2 ohm subs tomorrow along with an alpine mrx-m100. I have been reading a lot on wiring diagrams. I understand how all of that works but What I don't understand is that all of the diagrams show the wiring from subs straight to the amp. My Box has + and - terminals for each subwoofer chamber. Therefore this diagram here just doesn't make sense to me. http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchfield.com/ca/learningcenter/car/subwoofer_wiring/2DVC_2-ohm_mono.jpg On that diagram there are only 2 wires going into the amp but shouldn't there be 4 wires because of there being terminals for each chamber on the box? I have been trying to figure this one out but have not been able to. If someone has a diagram of this that includes the wiring with the box or if you could help me understand this better that would be great. Thanks in advance

The schematic shows the coils wired series, making each sub 4 ohms, which you will do, and the subs in parallel, which you will do.

However, since you will have your box terminals in between you'll wire the coils in series, then connect each sub to its terminal. That will make each terminal 4 ohms. From that point you can either go from amp to terminal 1 to terminal 2 to do your parallel wiring at the box, or you can run individual leads from the amp to each terminal so the parallel connection is made at the amp.

Just different ways to get to the same result.
