 Best connections..

What are your opinions on the best way to go about obtaining a solid, secure and powerful connection at points of termination? What is the best way to plug in a 1/0 gauge wire to an amp? Would you crimp an "O" ring and screw it in? Would you solder it to the amp? What is a cheap and quick way to securely fasten a wire of that size to the amp so that it doesn't get lose and wiggle out, there is a safe connection, and importantly maintains a full current flow? What is a good way of fastening the ground connection? Would it be just as well to secure the ground cable to the negative of a battery if it is in the trunk and convenient to get to? Thanks guys.

A 1/0 wire terminal on a amp should be a female inlet with a set screw. In which case I solder the end of stripped wire to make it a rigid male end. This way the set screw hits something hard.(holds better)

Fasten the wire down within 6" of the termination....

Ring and fork terminals are acceptable for grounds, as long as the crimp is effective.
