Why arent my subs carring out the base

hi i have 2 12 inch subs and 1 10 inch sub running off a 1200 W amp and i took them out and rewired  the 12s because the wire was really long so i put new wire on all the subs and when i put them back in they hit but they dont carry the bass out through my car before they would shake my side mirrors but now they dont shake anything i bought some actual speaker wire and thought maybe that was the problem but that didnt make any difference i have tried addujusting my amp but that doesnt make the subs carry out the base i would really like to figure out what is wrong with them cause now they just sound retarded

I would check inside the box to see if the wire to the inside terminal cups are making a solid connection.  They might've vibrated off.  The local car audio shop that I have my setup done at usually solders the wire onto those terminal cup ends.
