Amp advice
This is my situation.....I'll get to my question later. Current rundown.....Tweets....Usacoustics USA 2100. 100 x 2. Vifa XT 25 Ring radiators. Mids....Image Dynamics OEM....US acoustics USA 2150 150 x 2. Sub.....SSA Icon 10.....ESX Q275.2 275 x 2 and 825 bridged. All of the amps are rather underrated and of course Zed built.
My question.....I want to get all my amps to match again. Why I change things I have no clue. I have an opportunity or should I say I have several. My choices are.....I can get a lnib ESX Q120.4. They have been benched in the 150 x 4 range. That would be for mid and tweet. Or I can get slightly used meaning some flaws.....ESX Q 75.52 for the tweets and Q175.2 for the mids.
The second scenario seems more realistic. I will never use the 120 rated on the 4 channel for my tweets. Thats wasted power big time. Come to think of it I will never use 75. But at least the 2 amp route will better utilize that offset power on the mids. The 175.52 will do somewhere in the 225 - 250 range.....Can you say pants flapping in the breeze?
What do you think?

My son wants the 2 usacoustics i have or i would gladly sell u the 2150. Are u a member at diy? You could get one pretty quick there. I do know a guy that has several in the polished cases. He wants big money for them though.

no i am lazy to join DIY, even though they seem to be the cream of the crop far as i can tell, i really dont spend that much time here except that im working on majorly modifying my sound system at the moment... I am planning on scrapping my 18" driver, if you or your SON is interested in it, i just cant eliminate the rattles and they just get worse and worse. besides 2 icon 10"S should do just fine. i am not to particular on what amp i get to run my midbass, but im in the market as it were...

There I fixed it, I was thinking about my brother who I just got an email from. he is in the Philippines right now. also the way that you portray your relationship with your son seems almost brotherly to me, hope that that does not come off sounding weirdish.....

Nah..it doesnt sound weird at all. My wife tells me that me and my son are more like best freinds than father and son.

I have an original manual for that amp somewhere around here. You can download the usacoustics manual at audio clinik. It should be the same.
