Who is making the better head units nowadays??

I'm wondering what kind of features are available on head units out there now. Features I may be missing by having a Pioneer that's way over 10 years old.

So, who's making a good one now?? I'm probably looking for EQ tweaking abilities, at least 3 bands but would LOVE more than that, and maybe crossover functions that are actually usable, not just on/off and fixed at certain points.

What recommendations do you have?? Pioneer again, or JVC, Kenwood, Sony, or others??
