 New Speakers For Crescendo C1100.4.

I looking to replace my stocks my fronts will still be powered by the headunit i figured i would replace the 6x9's and add too more tweaters or mids to the rear deck. I Don't want to spend more than $500.00 a pair. So Im thinking about focal audio or X-type Alpine's. Any other brands keep up with focal?

How much power do you have on your sub or subs?

$500.00 a pair, wow, you are throwing money away, that is what i spent on my monster 18" subwoofer....

if you get a component set of mids you will need to amp it or it is a waist, the crossover network robs power badly, i only have 120.00 into my midrange drivers and it is too loud,

its pointless to run high end midrange with out an amp to them, you may as well just get some CDT coaxial speakers and call it good as it can be if you are not amping....

I'm not trying to be a smartass and i mean no disrespect. Have you ever heard a sytem with a real soundstage? You're going about this all wrong.

You want to keep the vocals and snap of a drum in front of you. rear fill can be ok for some but not as the primary high end of the sound spectrum. Get yourself a good 2 channel amp and decent set of comps and put the time and effort into installing them in the front. You're only going to get what you put into a system. meaning If you half ass it it will sound half assed. Put in the effort and all of your freinds will shit their pants along with yourself.

i have been listening to larry's advice for over 2 years now and my results have not ever disapointed a bit.

my opinion sir, you should amp the front before the rear.

i also like larry's suggested amp and speaker reccomendations good stuff affordable too....

There are a lot of options but putting $500 into a set of rears is ridiculous. That same money could put together a pretty damm good front stage that will keep up with all that bass.
