MX FUNCTION FOR ALPINE CDA 7894

i brought last week a central unit alpine cda 7894. great unit, very impressionant sound, clear as the original cd track (almost u have 192 or more kbps encoded mp3 files). I haven`t finished tunning the sound yet on my car (a golf mi A3) but day by day i got impressed by the fine tunning made possible by the unit. I am very happy with the unit and the sound provided for it & the 8 factory speakers plus a 222w sony xplod external amp driving a 12" Aluminium sony Xplod Woofer in a closed box. The sound was cute, but i didn`t understand the MX function. I´ve read on reviews & the user manual it enhance the sound on the mp3/cda tracks & radio listening. I´ve noticed some enhances sometimes on radio listening, but listenting to the cd`s sounds awfull, really bad, & the mp3 tracks sounds very bad. If some ones have this unit & have the time to explain me how it woks i appreciate that. i appreciate any recomendation too for tunning more my entire system: central unit CDA-7894 Alpine driving 8 factory speakers on a golf mi A3 1998 (if u know the specs of these speakers let me know) a 222w Xplod Sony amplifier driving a 12" Aluminium Xplod woofer (brige wiring) Stinger wires from the central unit`s SW preout & from the sony amplifier to the closed box. all the other wires are factory installed. (i hope u dont recommend discard the sony components`s - are new too - ;) I encorage recommend it this central unit, perhaps one of the best choices on serius mp3 central unit on the market. SONY MP3 units are very expensive & sounds... it sounds.. that`s it.
