  4 ch amp wiring

Clarion APA 4160 4ch amp. each channel can handle 4ohm loads. 2 ohm loads? i think so. now how about bridged to 2 ch? 4 ohm loads, yes i am doing that now but can it handle 2 ohm loads in bridged mode? i want to try 2 new 2ohm load subs but i do not think it can handle 2 ohm loads. time for more powerful amp anyway.

Only high current amps are stable below 4 ohms bridged. At 2 ohms bridged that clarion will probably go into thermal protection after a few minutes.
