 No subs Eclipse AVX2494?

i just bought this head unit and put it in, and I cant get my subs to work. my amp powers on and everything, and i can hear them kind of "bump" when the head unit turns on, but nothing comes out of them. The head unit is an eclipse avx2494, and its in a ford F350. the truck has an audiovox FM modulator in it, i didnt put it in there, i guess its a factory component. but there's two rca's comming off the modulator, also. i tried hooking those up, but still nothing. any ideas?
