 OLD Whistler car alarms

I recieved an old Whistler car alarm that had no "detailed" instructions on how to connect it together. I was curious if you might have or know where I might find this. Model #: 525 Thank you.

Hi, The 525 is a simple 2 wire install. Red to +12 volts and black to Ground (-). The yellow wire is only used if your electric fan stays on when the ignition is off. If you have this type fan, connect the yellow wire to the fans switched 12 volt source. If the fan relay switches ground, you need to add a relay to make +12 volts go to this yellow wire. If you don't have an electric fan do nothing with this wire. The green wire is the antenna and make sure this wire is NOT attached to any other wiring. John

And here I was thinking that it would be a pain in the butt to install! Thanks for the help! I'm glad you told me that the green wire was the antenna b/c I was figuring that would be the ground wire and would have to make a fitting for it to the frame. I hope you don't mind if I come back with more questions. THanks again for the help!!!

I hooked up the alarm as u said, pushed remote, it did the one chirp thing (armed I belive) then pushed it again, two chirps (disarmed I believe), held down remote for over three seconds and panic went off, but no matter what the alarm would not go off when it was armed, why would that be?

Once you hear the 1 chirp for arm you have to wait 30 seconds before it will respond to shock or current sense

Thanks this helped me hook up my old one too. The battery in my old remote was just about dead after so many years. RadioShack was no help but the local car stereo store had the 12v (23A) for 2 bucks. I even found some instructions/specs for them over at the Radioshack site.
