Wait so you hooked up you 'puter to the caps that are supplying power to the audio system and you aren't worried about surge protection? Will you email me a wire diagram of your layout. I have been toying with the idea of using a 'puter in one of my cars.

Generally Ihave installed them because of the amplifiers. The total power of the sound system is about 1500 W RMS.

how many caps are you using? and are they dedicated to the 'puter or are they shared for the subs aswell?

The only important thing is to connect the DC/AC near to the capacitors (1,8 F). Connection to the battery was not working stable. Now I am looking to upgrade the CPU and motherboard because this one is 4 years old and it's a lot of time in this industry.

very nice art work. really looks amazing! dicedaniels, you shouldn't run a computer powered by ur car, its designed to run on 12v, not 14v (car on) a motherboards safty shutoff is around 14v. i believe mirox is using an inverter.
