Wait so you hooked up you 'puter to the caps that are supplying power to the audio system and you aren't worried about surge protection? Will you email me a wire diagram of your layout. I have been toying with the idea of using a 'puter in one of my cars.
Comment Posted By:  mirox3m on Apr 08,2005
Generally Ihave installed them because of the amplifiers. The total power of the sound system is about 1500 W RMS.
Comment Posted By:  soda on Apr 08,2005
how many caps are you using? and are they dedicated to the 'puter or are they shared for the subs aswell?
Comment Posted By:  mirox3m on Apr 07,2005
The only important thing is to connect the DC/AC near to the capacitors (1,8 F). Connection to the battery was not working stable. Now I am looking to upgrade the CPU and motherboard because this one is 4 years old and it's a lot of time in this industry.

Aren't you worried about power surges or losses? do you run a surge protector?
Comment Posted By:  mirox3m on Apr 06,2005
Thanks for all the comments guys! For the power supply of my PC Iused DC/AC converter 12/220 V 300W available here for about 60 $.

Qpc has come to that is soooooooo sik! top notch job man. keep it up!! What kind of inverter did you use? or did you figure out how to wire direct after the 110 power supply?
Comment Posted By:  korndog on Apr 04,2005
very nice art work. really looks amazing! dicedaniels, you shouldn't run a computer powered by ur car, its designed to run on 12v, not 14v (car on) a motherboards safty shutoff is around 14v. i believe mirox is using an inverter.
