Description:
This is a box I am building for my buddy's car with a 10". It consists of an entire 3/4" MDF frame, plus a full fiberglass front. I'm hand painting it with irridescent paint, then many layers of clear coat. I am still to drill a hole in the rear for an A/D/S terminal cup. I'll then carpet the back half, starting about 2" from the front. Lastly, I'll use some kind of trim (rubber, metal, etc) to act as a barrier. Have any suggestions? Leave some commentary, criticism or communication. . .

So, I'm almost done. First, I haven't dusted it yet from the sanding I last did, before it was painted. It's all been sitting inside the box for months. Lazy? Nah! I also have to buy the trim which will consist of metal brackets primed and painted a metallic black. Then, maybe a few touch-ups of the paint. Last, I'll tape off the rug and finish with more clear for some super-sweet shine.

I had to resand and repaint the box (for a third time) since my girlfriend's youngest nephew was a bit too curious and apparently needed to touch it. In any case, I'm also adding a lip rather than have it be flat.

So a couple of more versions. I removed the orange and black paint as the clear coat was not curing correctly. Sanded back to the bondo layer and repainted with chrome, blue and metallic baby blue paint. The swirling they were doing was awesome. Its h

You forgot to make a lip for the sub to mount to. I hope this isn't an oversight... looks like you have some work into this already. good luck.
