Rockford Fosgate Punch 400.4 4 channel amp Kenwood (350 watt max) 2 channel amp Sony F7005X head unit MP3 player with wireless and wired remote Monster Cable Wiring Kits Dual Cambridge Soundworks Subwoofer/sealed box/LPF speakers

I replaced the head unit with the Sony to play CD's MP3's. I use it as a preamp (4V each) to 3 channels in the trunk. Front and rear speakers powered by the RF400.4 getting a clean 50W to each channel. The 2 Cambridge Soundworks sub boxes (I had laying around the house) are powered by the Kenwood (not bridged for thermal issues for now). Just got it in but it sounds good. Next thing I need to do is upgrade the front component speakers so it can handle all the power. I love the Sony wired remote!

Head Unit Sony F7005X in a Cadillac Deville 1998
The Scosche dash kit fits perfectly, great contour and surface matching. the pocket above the head unit is very usefull. Paid about 199 for the HU and 10 for the dash kit and 3 for the wiring harness. (btw this car doesnt have switched 12V so you need to cross that wire into the always on 12V feed on the harness)

Amp cooling: nothing in particular so far, I just keep em un-bridged. I just moved to San Diego from NYC so, I will keep you posted if I get some thermally induced clipping. So far so good!
