After the Big 3
Before I upgraded the wiring under the hood, I'd suffer a voltage drop down to about 11.0v with the system on full blast - even with a 5 farad cap. I took this picture of the cap (you can read the voltometer from outside the rear window at night) while cranking the sound and idling after the upgrade. It never fell below 13.5v (WHILE IDLING!) - a 2+ volt gain for about $50 and a few hours of work!
